Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to delegates registering for or attending the National Information Security Conference (NISC). By submitting a registration form, completing an online booking or attending the event, delegates agree to these terms.

1. Registration

Submission of a registration form or completion of the online booking process constitutes an application to attend NISC. A booking is confirmed once registration has been accepted and a confirmation email has been issued. NISC reserves the right to refuse or cancel registrations at its discretion.

2. Payment Terms

All delegate fees are payable in accordance with the payment terms stated on the relevant invoice. Unless otherwise agreed, payment must be received prior to the event. All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated.

3. Delegate Substitutions

If a registered delegate is unable to attend, a substitute delegate may attend in their place at no additional charge. Notification of substitutions must be provided in writing prior to the event.

4. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be submitted in writing to NISC. Cancellation charges may apply depending on the package purchased and the date of cancellation. Unless otherwise stated at the point of booking, cancellations received more than 60 days before the event may be eligible for a partial refund, less an administration fee. No refunds will be provided for cancellations received within 60 days of the event or for non-attendance. Specific cancellation terms will be communicated as part of the registration process.

5. Event Changes

Whilst every effort will be made to deliver the published programme, NISC reserves the right to make changes to speakers, agenda content, session timings, conference format or venue arrangements where circumstances require. Such changes will not entitle delegates to a refund.

6. Accommodation

Where accommodation forms part of a delegate package, details will be confirmed as part of the booking process. Delegates are responsible for personal charges incurred during their stay, including room service, telephone charges and other incidentals.

7. Delegate Conduct

NISC is committed to creating a professional, respectful and inclusive environment for all attendees. To help make NISC enjoyable, valuable and welcoming for all, delegates are expected to follow the NISC Code of Conduct and behave respectfully towards fellow attendees, speakers, sponsors, venue staff and organisers throughout the event. NISC reserves the right to remove any delegate whose behaviour breaches the Code of Conduct, is considered disruptive, inappropriate, or is likely to negatively impact the experience of others. No refund will be provided in such circumstances.

8. Photography, Filming and Recording

Photography, video and audio recording may take place during NISC for promotional, marketing, social media, reporting and future event activity. By attending NISC, delegates acknowledge that they may appear in photography, filming or recordings used by NISC. Delegates who do not wish to be photographed or filmed should contact the NISC team in advance at info@nisc.org.uk or speak to the registration desk on arrival. NISC will make reasonable efforts to accommodate this, although exclusion from all background or crowd photography cannot be guaranteed.

9. NISC Event App

NISC may provide an event app to support the conference experience, including agenda information, speaker details, sponsor information, venue information, event updates and networking functionality. Information collected by the app may include a delegate's full name, email address, organisation and job title. Delegates should only share information within the app that they are comfortable making visible to other attendees, sponsors or exhibitors.

11. Personal Property

Photography, video and audio recording may take place during NISC for promotional, marketing, social media, reporting and future event activity. By attending NISC, delegates acknowledge that theNISC may provide an event app to support the conference experience, including agenda information, speaker details, sponsor information, venue information, event updates and networking functionality. Information collected by the app may include a delegate's full name, email address, organisation and job title. 10. Dietary Requirements and Accessibility
